Welcome to the Murder Circle
Saturday, November 24th, 2007Welcome to my Murder Circle! Many of the authors I’ve met at conferences have become friends, and I’m always interested in what they’re up to these days. This column is to keep readers in the know on a personal level.
Hailey Lind is a combo of Julie Goodson-Lawes and Carolyn J. Lawes. They write the Annie Kincaid mysteries, all about art and forgeries. Julie lives on the West Coast, Carolyn on the East Coast, probably a good idea when sisters collaborate. They have a new mystery coming soon, ARSENIC AND OLD PAINT. This is the fourth book in the Annie Kinkaid Mysteries. Julie is also scheduled to speak at the Cerritos (CA) Library on January 26. It’s the Mystery on the Menu lunch with a panel of authors. Yummy!
Also at the luncheon is author Sue Ann Jaffarian, author of the Odelia Grey series. Nothing stops the plus-size sleuth, not even a wheelchair. THUGS AND KISSES, the third in the series, is coming in February.
Speaking of food, Joanne Pence, author of the Angie Amalfi foodie series is excited about her nomination for Career Achievement Award by Romantic Times Bookclub (fingers crossed on this end, Joanne). The fourteen books in the series are getting a makeover with all new covers. THE DA VINCI COOK is the most recent book in the series.
